mhm at Riverfront Park

Riverfront Park

Riverfront Park has long been a Denver favorite.   When one thinks “Location, Location, Location” it is hard to beat this cool hip burb nestled between LoDo and LoHi with MOD Architecture all around.

For the last several years Riverfront Park has also been home to the Riverfront Park Fashion Show.

This is the event of Denver for fashion and fun.  Denverites put on their very best attire and take over the Plaza in Riverfront Park with a runway show, catered food, and of course an eclectic mix of specialty cocktails, wines, and more.  Years ago the Riverfront Park Fashion show was a series held throughout the summer where on any given Thursday night you could see the fashion delights from a number of Denver designers.

This past weekend’s fashion event featured couture and more from  Blush LTD, Ever, William Rast, Lawrence Covell, Ananda Salon, Chris Benz, Donna Baldwin, Luxe Salon, Bang Salon, Double Shadow, MLA Photonix, and Ginger Perry.

But even more important than the Couture was the Cause.   This Year’s Riverfront Park Fashion Show benefited the Denver Health Foundation.  With a motto of “Where Medical Greatness + Human Goodness Connect” Denver Health works to improve Health Care for those in need in Colorado.  From their website excerpt..

Upholding Denver Health’s long-standing mission to provide health care to vulnerable populations is not the job of a few concerned citizens – it is a job for all of us.  To find out how you can help, explore the Foundation’s web pages where you will find programs such as our Newborns in Need and Patient Assistance Fund.

It’s a great cause and you can still donate today… so do.

This year’s the event was consolidated into one big Saturday night party.  From the photos you can tell it was a rave success.

But Riverfront Park had more to celebrate this past weekend than just fashion.  A recent Reuters article shared that that the developer of Riverfront Park entered into a Joint Venture with Starwood Capital to take their creative talents into the developement of the new Union Station and other Denver Business District areas.

The same day this press release came out (yesterday) the new Union Station light rail station opened for its first passengers.  You could say things are really moving now.

Cheers and let’s share support for Denver Health!
