Well, almost everything. For years residents have anxiously anticipated the arrival of a full service grocery store within walking distance. Rumors circulated about a Whole Foods in Riverfront Park. Deans Urban Market had a short lifespan in Ball Park, but nothing of a large scale come in to meet the growing needs of the Downtown neighborhood. That was true until now.
The Denver Post published a story announcing a new King Soopers 42,000 (roughly) square foot urban grocery to arrive at 20th and Chestnut.
Just footsteps from Riverfront Park and LoHi in the new Union Station neighborhood this wish list item is just one more reason to love Denver’s MOD downtown.
