We know Denver is Cool.  It appears so does the rest of the world.

Here at milehimodern we keep you updated on MOD restaurants, art events, and of course MOD homes, lofts and architecture.

Today we stop and look at just how MOD our entire city is compared to the rest of the country.  Turns out the millennial generation thinks we are number one.  We agree.

The article “Downtown Denver is booming, but it is a tale of two cities” in the Denver Post this month looks at just why our city is top for millennials. Being a MOD and COOL city has many factors.  We have some great neighborhoods with tons of restaurants, bistros, and pubs such LoHi, LoDo, Ball Park, West Highland, and Uptown.

Our city is in the process of building the biggest transportation project currently going on in the USA with FastTracks connecting light rail through all our great neighborhoods.   Of course it helps that all three of our main sporting arenas are walkable in the heart of our city.  Very few cities can claim this.

While on the topic of walking, Denver offers something pure and simple.  We have great weather.  Denver offers 300+ days of sunshine, four seasons, and many greenspace parks and trails to help us enjoy living here.

For recreation Denver offers the best backyard ever with the Rocky Mountains.  This is a great month to mention this because our local Ski Resorts begin their opening season through October and November.

No doubt about it.  Denver is awesome.  And according to the Denver Post article “More than 17,500 people call downtown Denver home — a count expected to grow by nearly 18 percent over the next five years.”
