Denver Awarded Green Lane Project

Denver does it again!  Our wonderful city was chosen as one of six out of hundreds of cities for the Green Lane Project with a focus on establishing a better bike lane community.

This Modern and Environmentally Friendly project focus on helping Denver become more bike friendly.  That is pretty cool!  As part of the project our MOD city is getting funding and technical assistance for an intensive two year bike lane project.  These protected bike lanes are going to be VERY separated from general traffic to encourage biking with an expectation that by 2020 15% of commuters will be biking or walking.

Our city is so Awesome!  With over 300 days of sunshine how could someone not love commuting in the open air.  The Downtown Denver real estate market certainly reflects this as home shoppers working with milehimodern are finding those dream condos, lofts, and homes in our car optional downtown neighborhoods such as LoHi, Riverfront Park, and growing Jefferson Park.

Of course the new Union Station Neighborhood project has a lot to do with Denver’s wonderful plans for the future.  With a hub of light rail convenient to all these neighborhoods and new light rail routes spreading throughout our city living car optional has never been easier.  Home owners are finding ways to use public transportation, with or without bringing their bikes on the light rail, to live free of traffic, high priced gasoline, and parking worries.    Instead downtown Denver residents are enjoying their urban lifestyle with the hundreds of great restaurants, events, and activities that continue to open.  Wow, what an amazing place to live.

Congrats to Denver on this incredible opportunity for urban design and sustainable living!
