Whole Foods Coming to Union Station
Whole Foods Union Station Market
milehimodern is celebrating the recent article “Whole Foods opening flagship store next to Denver Union Station” from the Denver Business Journal which quotes:
Whole Foods (Nasdaq: WFM) announced the store during its fourth-quarter earnings call. The new 56,000-square-foot store will be called Whole Foods Market Union Station.
Downtown residents got some very good news yesterday with the announcement that Whole Foods Market is developing a flagship location in the new Union Station Neighborhood.
The new Whole Foods Union Station Market, to be located at 17th and Wewatta streets, is scheduled to open December of 2017. It’s worth the wait. Riverfront Park, LoHi, LoDo, and the new Union Station residents have been asking for a walkable large scale grocery store for years. A King Soopers location is scheduled to open sometime soon but it seems from the social media buzz going on since yesterday’s announcement that Whole Foods may be the fan favorite.
For residents in this area life just keeps getting better and better. For the past 10 years Riverfront Park, LoHi, and the Downtown have seen rapid development in terms of great restaurants, bars, bistros, wine bars, pubs, and even large milk bottle shaped ice cream providers (we love Little Man Ice Cream).
That covered the ability to enjoy great food within a walkable trip for dining out.
The new Whole Foods means you can walk to get fresh and organic ingredients to enjoy great food at home. At home Chefs of downtown Denver are celebrating.
And let us not forget the great Union Statin Transit system. Not only does the new Union Station terminal offer us great restaurants, it is also going to be our access point to travel to DIA.
Restaurants, Grocery Stores, Shops, Sporting Events, and Transit.
Downtown Denver is a MOD place to live.
